The great illusion of leadership is to think that we can be led out of the desert by someone who has never been there. Henri Nouwen
I come from a family of business leaders and entrepreneurs. As the “prodigal” who ran away from the world of business to enter into ministry, God has called me to bridge the worlds of spiritual formation and executive coaching, working with leaders and organizations committed to the transformation of their communities. Growing up into spiritual maturity is not an option. Nor is care of people and planet. As leaders we bear responsibility for nurturing the conditions that contribute to the flourishing of our communities!
Over the course of my leadership journey, I have served in:
•Business at Sotheby’s and as part of the advertising team for the IBM-PC; the
•Church, as part of a launch team for a new church, a turn-around pastor, and denominational leader; and the
•Academy, teaching both a doctoral track and masters level classes in leadership and spiritual formation.
My formal education includes a Masters of Divinity from Yale University, a Masters of Organizational Development from Case Western Reserve University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary. Yes, I’m addicted to learning!
Most importantly, I am a disciple of Jesus drawn daily into the dance of the Trinity. In Jesus’ earthly journey, I find a path that honors the nurture of core identity, character and call, understanding that each and every one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made, created in the image of God. In the flow of the Triune God, I find a pattern for how to be in relationship lived out in the context of community.
My call is to support and equip leaders for the journeys to which they are called for the flourishing of people and planet.
I look forward to sharing the journey with you!
With deep joy,
